Happy New Year :)

This video was filmed at the place I had the opportunity to celebrate New Year this time. Greetings to all the nice people I met here so far. Let's make the best out of the time we have left in crazy London! :)

Und liebe Grüße an alle meine Leute zu Hause! Danke an jeden, der mich hierbei unterstützt. All die Erfahrungen, die ich machen darf, sind unbezahlbar. Bis bald! :)

University of the Arts London – CSM

This college is located in the newest complexes of UAL's colleges. The architecture looks very modern and futuristic and the whole atmosphere is completely different in comparison to my small college in Camberwell.
They offer courses for art, fashion and textile design, graphic, communication, product and spatial design, and performance.

Jonas Mekas

Film-maker, artist and poet Jonas Mekas is a leading figure of avant-garde and independent cinema. He was born 1922 in Lithuania and bought his first Bolex camera on his arrival in New York in 1949. Mainly he filmed the people and places around him.

After his 60-year career he is doing workshops and exhibitions right now in London – for example in Serpentine Gallery. There, I encoun-
tered his work for the first time. I felt like immersing in private situations and feelings. It was also interesting to see people like John Lennon, Yoko Ono or Andy Warhol in unforced everyday life.

"But as I was contemplating my life and my work, I only saw my friends and all the happy moments of us together, and all the places where I have been and where I felt like I was in Paradise."

Boxing Day

Boxing Day is the 26th of December. There are several theories about the etymology, one of them is that servants and tradesmen received gifts from their superiors that day.

My explanation centres about the physical boxing. It was kind of hard to stay calm between all the other people that tried to find the best offers.

Give Peas a Chance

Fresh mint & ginger lemonade,
warm pitta bread, smoky aubergine
and Hummus with fava beans
Hummus is very popular here, presumably because of the immigrants. I am crazy about that food so I am happy to find it easily in the supermarket.
Today I ate at Hummus Bros, a new restaurant founded by two college friends in 2003.
